Seeded Lettuce Prizehead(red), Grand Rapids Lettuce, Chinese cabbage. Peatmoss to cover.
NZ Spinach growing well. Leaf Lettuce forming good “head”, weather is cool,
Pumpkins are growing really well,
Ichi kiri doing better than butternut- is it the higher ground or is it the seed of the butternut?
Peppers have holes in leaves- slugs?
Beans have flowers and ready to pick soon
Glads are all up
Climbing beans are starting to vine.
Morning glory is up but still short
Cosmos up, but no blooms yet
Four o’clocks starting to grow- no blooms yet
Anchusa (blue ) in bloom
Portulaca in bloom
Lobelia and allysum alive but not thriving yet

July 10 dug out more walkway, spread excavated soil to back of annex where low, trimmed Andorra, spirea, tamarix Junipers, forsythia (some). Spread trimmings at back of house.
Found wasp nest on cedar chair. Sprayed with neem, seemed to kill wasp.
July 11/09 Juriansz reunion- showers in am, hail and shower in pm. .5 inch rain.
July 12 Yuccas are in full bloom
Sunday trimmed nest spruce, a bit of globe blue spruce.

Moved cushion mum from fence garden- too shady by rose of Sharon out to the harp garden
Dug volunteer garlics from here and there

Picked Spinach, lettuce leaf, chard last night for the Duncans
This morning picked beets, carrots for Jackie.

July 8, 2009- seeding
Seeded some Collards, seed from 08- spring sowing very little came up
Seeded Lettuce, romaine

Transplanted a few leaf lettuce from bee box to garden !
Transplanted some Linaria Fairy Bouquet flowers from harp garden to near hammock steps and to under locust.
Transplanted volunteer peppers- looks like mini oranmental from by ramp to under lilac.
