15 large and 2 tiny from 2 rows of 9 per row (48" wide) planted last fall from larger cloves.
13 large cloves from 2 rows of 7 per 48" row planted with smaller cloves.
Conclusions
If larger cloves can still plant at 9 per row.
Maybe even smaller cloves.
Will wait till evaluation of wider spaced rows

Braided Garlic July 6/11

Planted some softneck garlic last fall. 1) wanted to try some in addition to the many hardneck that I already grow. 2) Jackie wanted some braided garlic and softneck varieties are easier to braid.
Thanks to Jackie for the braiding.
I call these Chinese garlic because I merely bought a package at the grocery store and planted them last fall.

Had planted 37 Nov 7/10 quite late in the year
The Hardnecks appear to be of normal size
