April 5/09 Greg’s bday, Kev/Jack/al, fina/Franco, Amy, Dave greg, gpa here for brunch
Trimmed spirea from garage side front, took out all large stems
Trimmed back mahonia by front porch back hard, stuck some stems in soil to see if will root
cut yew back along front edge to allow rockery stone to show
Trimmed hydrangea Annabelle back and hydrangea ivy . stuck some cuttings in soil to see if will root
Planted Spanish onion and dutch sets about 10 per row in box, seeded some broccoli in between
Filled one bee box by deck, Seeded leaf lettuce,
Rapini started to come up, spinach just starting,
Elephant garlic looks squishy? Did it survive winter.?
Good crop of peppers/eggplant starting
Coleus starting to come up
Grass and fibrous begonias- no sign of germination
Put pansy, onions from jan seeding, lettuce and broccoli out side to harden of
Cut pussy willow stems.
Brought figs out from garage- stems look dry, bud starting to get green??
