Seeding Strawberry, Redbud, Wild Rose, Helleborus

Took from Fridge 
Redbud seeds from Jan 31. 2021- had boiled some and some were just as is- there were 3 kinds. Opened container and some had germinated but couldn't tell which was which.
Potted the seedlings and also put the packets into pots as well.



Took from Freezer: 

strawberry seed from West Coasts- was in freezer since May 2018
Helleborus seed from Etsy and wild rose seed from FFM since April 2021
Seeded into mushroom trays - on heated pads




seeded about 38 Guelph Millenium asparagus seed in mushroom container

Jan 13- one helleborus is up, one rose is up, strawberries and asparagus have germinated

dug one clump from original bed

cut into 7 clumps for sale

and left with 4- planted in pot

Harvest a few asparagus

May 11/14 Mother's Day tasks

Phillip came to cut
Lawn Friday but started to rain
Came today to do first mowing
For both hand mowers started

Picked another good crop of asparagus
With Alejandra and Raquel seeded a 4 x4 box with spinach (2 rows) Swiss chard carrots beets and 8 Spanish onion plants

Rototill end main garden 3 times
Twice diagonal and once vertical til gas ran out

Should start some castor beams and zucchini cucumbers

March 30/08- snow still on ground, weather cooler than normal, in 07 had done 4 days of fertilizing, this year won’t start til maybe end of this week
Fertilized seedlings with 10-52-10 12.5 ml(1/2 of the iron measuring cup) in 1.89 litres water
Onions are up, with second trimming, asparagus starting, basil, rapini, broccolis, are up big, peppers/eggplants just starting to poke through
Sowed rest of Allysum Saxatile in mushroom bos
Sowed in mushroom box 6 rows of tomatoes, 1 row each of red and yellow pear, 1.25 rows of sweet million and 2.5 rows of brandywine

Fertilized with 10-52-10 1 portulacaria, rosemary, aloe, figs, pepper, cactus-star fruit, philodendron, dieffenbachia, hoya, schefflera
Penguin arrowhead seems to have dried out.
