Sept 29/14 tasks

Cleaned up tomatoes -pulled vines and put in compost
Picked second patch - rest of it - of soybeans.
The third patching soybeans- pods are there but not filled. Hopefully will still have time to grow.
Picked green beans - tossed plants into compost- got two 8 litre pails - even though some are large- this variety is still tender.
Second planting- of beans- almost no beans- got the first flush couple of weeks ago- if season was longer would get another picking-
The two pails come of the second flush of flowers and beans of the first planting,
Rosemary juiced a bunch of tomatoes into ziplock bags for freezing

Coneflower echinacea - picked a half dozen seed heads and scattered the seeds here and there- at Shasta daisy row in front- under maple on east side of drive- new beds at back - by rose bed/black eye Susan
Scattered cleome seed
Scattered viburnum, hicks yew, Amur maple seeds at log berm and under a couple of willows, few redbuds
Planted two clumps of
Miscanthus to front near hawthorns and a walnut.
Watered garden and transplanted oak and redbuds

Tidied up pool shed
Put chairs in shed
Moved umbrellas to big shed in 45 gal drum

Trim and to be pruned

Willows along side of cedars- have died- after last fall treatment

will need to be cut down to ground

Put dead morning glory vines here= maybe they can cover the stumps

Hetz junipers outside of pool fence- cutting them back severely

will allow more breeze in pool- less mosquitos
Phillip is doing some of the trimming

He also trimmed the pussy willows by the shed down

Cleaned up a lot of the branches that broke in the storm and branches from the fruit tree pruning and dumped at back near the weeping willow and Kartiks bee boxes

these willows are close enough to the pool to drop leaves if they get very large

Today's tasks Oct 8/12

Planted some rooted willow various spots
Trimmed hawthorns along front road to allow lilacs to grow better
Planted another boxwood under the oak tree. In doing so dig up the daffodils bunch. Planted daffodils along front at road
Planted the silver maple seedlings at far end along road

Misc tasks April 29/12

Transplanted three clumps of Trillium
Transplanted some silver maple to front Roadside under walnut tree
Transplanted routed pussy willow too far end of field
Transplanted couple of clumps of lilacs from by concrete fdns to the far end of the field

Started to rototill but needs a fan.belt
lawnmower needed a boost

Started working on conduit greenhouse

New miscanthus bed April 6/12

Where one of the piles willows was
Moved some miscanthus grass to this area

Apr 6/12 tasks done

Vegetation control driveway
Brush burned incl last yrs pile by Roschman car and apple tree trimmings
Stuck some pussy willow cuttings by rr track choke cherry
Transplanted 4 ft silver maple from by spruce behind shed to new row
Trimmed down hibiscus behind shed
Trimmed down hibiscus by septic pyramid
Dug about 6 pieces of miscanthus grass out - moved to a new bed.
