March 30/08- snow still on ground, weather cooler than normal, in 07 had done 4 days of fertilizing, this year won’t start til maybe end of this week
Fertilized seedlings with 10-52-10 12.5 ml(1/2 of the iron measuring cup) in 1.89 litres water
Onions are up, with second trimming, asparagus starting, basil, rapini, broccolis, are up big, peppers/eggplants just starting to poke through

Garden 1- angled the rows to right, ends up with a triangular corner garden on left. Moved loose soil from aisle onto bed areas to create a raised bed.

June 20 transplanted a bunch of the portulacarias, sowed some basil collected plants
Put triangle cloth up with greenhouse frame posts.
Boys gave home depot gift card, got hose reel box $79.00
Put 14 by 14 bird netting over pool for a couple of days this week, seems to have reduce bird droppings or did the baby grackles grow up and leave. Used the hook pegs and string.
Painted the old metal garbage can black with marble effect.

June 22 Helped tim and adelia by cleaning their house- they moved in today\

Harvested 5 beets planted in new garden, sown april 20th, much further ahead than April 12th ones planted in boxes. I think rosemary spaced these one really well and they grew fast compared to the ones planted in the boxes.

Nov 2/08 warmish,
10 C some cleanup, cleaned bean netting, dug most of carrots, rest of beets, leeks in box are large, in garden quite small.
Moved soil into boxes.
Cooked in oven 2 medium pumpkins2hrs at 400, thinks was too long, 1 hr would have been better. Got 3 bags of about 4 cups each. Looks good, tasted sweet.

Nov 16/08 from Florida planted an organic garlic that Greg bought- no stem (soft neck) only one clove was not soft and rotten, planted along western edge of garlic bed see photo taken today.
