Spa compost bin
Cut off asparagus
Cleaned up eggplant pepper tomato luff
And out into bin
Also added some grass clippings leaves
Cleaned up some Shasta castor bean sunflowers basil cilantro

Many good sized, best sized harvest came from the ones planted earlier in October in the bed.
Likely due to the better soil and good moisture in the boxed bed.

Today's tasks Oct 8/12
Planted some rooted willow various spots
Trimmed hawthorns along front road to allow lilacs to grow better
Planted another boxwood under the oak tree. In doing so dig up the daffodils bunch. Planted daffodils along front at road
Planted the silver maple seedlings at far end along road

Small cloves planted at 7 by 7 spacing
Update July 11/13 these small ones did not amount to very large cloves, the small ones planted on Aug 28/13 grew to average size. Time of year makes a difference

The small cloves came from garlic plants that looked like this before being spliit off.
The cloves with brownish skins do not appear to have had a chance to divide into smaller cloves yet. Will see how they grow for next year.
July 11/13 even small cloves when planted by the end of August will grow to an acceptable harvest size.
