Planted kale and red cabbage in box under locust, with leeks between
Planted rest of leeks in triangle bed at end of locust box
Seeded Indian corn at lawn corner, in telephone bed, by road, by shed
Seeded in box 1 row white radish, 1.5 rows danver carrots, 2 rows space spinach, finished off health kick salad mix ½ row, .5 row red swiss chard, 1 row bon vivant lettuce, 4 rows rainbow chard.

July 29/07 dug garlic- kept 40-50 of biggest cloves as seed stock. Some pink ones as well.

Transplanted miscanthus from front bed to along fence- very few roots,was it too shady or too dry?
Today’s spectator say this spring may, june, july rainfall was only 40% of normal

Sunday Sept 16/07 light frost this 630 am watered pepper tomato squash, doesn’t appear to be too much damage
Car rally day, day was cool
Swimming pool found leak by heater, heater not working
planted garlic along fence, also 2-3 medium cloves into center birch bed.
prizehead lettuce growing well –have harvested as leaf lettuce
got great red pepper, eggplant
tomatoes and cucumbers have started to stop producing
last week and a half been getting a lot of tomatoes from dave mcburney, including some yellow  brandywine and eggplant
Garlic plant in next bed to west, where onions were this year.
Next year
Tomatoes plant an early variety so we can have some before daves start
Zucchini might do better in holes dug deeply, same as squash better in old deep holes than in shallow new holes.

April 8/07 got cold with snow

April 8/07 snowed, thurs, fri, sat, sun, flurries very cold
Put hardening off plants into garage because of cold
Transplanted tomatoes, petunias to 1204 1 tray total
Fert all with 20-20-20

Wed March 28/07 threw some grass seed at front lawn by road, both sides, about 1/3 of area
Bee boxes, sowed swiss chard and lettuce one box each

March 25/07 transplanting, sowing, progress

March 25/07
Transplanted 0809 of rosemary, flavour pepper and basil into 4 inch pots. Also 1 red cabbage and one kale into 4”pot. Transplanted 2 small lettuce into empty cabbage and kale 809.

Sowed linaria, 2 zinnias, into one 809, morning glory, -cleome into 1204

200 tray Petunias are up, tomatoes, basil, one cayenne pepper is up
trimmed onions
